Our structure
CPHP is unique amongst DFID's
natural resources research programmes in having four regional
offices
They are located in the regions where our research activities
take place. Each is staffed by a Regional Coordinator and a small support team,
reporting to the Programme
Manager. The role of the Regional Offices has evolved significantly over
time. In the early days, they provided logistical and financial management support
to projects and to the Programme Manager. From 2001, they have helped to shape
programme strategy.
In March 2002, for the first time, they acquired responsibility for certain
management functions.
However, the Programme Manager remains ultimately accountable to DFID's Rural
Livelihoods Department for the performance
of the entire programme.
